Primarily, the Coalition exists in Sherman County to distribute grant funds from the Oregon Cultural Trust in our community. We accept grant requests from qualified grantees in the arts, heritage and humanities throughout Sherman County and choose those who will receive grants.

Our Mission
The mission of the Sherman County Cultural Coalition is to make a possitive impact on the community and create a solid foundation for the future by identifying, preserving, developing and expanding resources that reflect the unique spirit of Sherman County.
Our Priorities
- Protect and strengthen investment in Sherman County's existing cultural resources
- Engage our youth in the arts, heritage and humanities
- Promote cultural programs that stimulate cultural opportunities and economic growth
- Promote the publication and dissemination of information related to the arts and culture within Sherman County
- Sherman County Historical Society acts as our fiscal agent
